SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – CreeWest, De Beers ink air contract

NORTHERN ONTARIO - Air transportation to DE BEERS CANADA's Victor diamond mine will be provided by CREEWEST, a joint venture of Air Creebec and the James Bay First Nations. The contract signed by the two parties covers a period of three years during construction of the mine. It includes both passenger and freight to and from the project in the James Bay Lowlands.

The contract came into effect on Jan. 1, 2006. It will generate 10 new jobs at Air Creebec.
