VANCOUVER – The war of words continues as Goldcorp attempts a hostile takeover of Montreal's Osisko Mining Corp. Goldcorp made an offer that the Osisko board recommends be turned down by shareholders, and yesterday Osisko went to court in Quebec alleging that Goldcorp violated a confidentiality agreement between the two gold miners.
Goldcorp responds to the court action: While it is in the process of reviewing the pleadings, Goldcorp denies the allegations, and intends to take all necessary steps to vigorously defend its position.
