MISSISSAUGA, Ontario KOMATSU CANADA is offering new trucks, excavators and wheel loaders with engines that meet US EPA Tier 3 emission regulations. These engines offer lower fuel consumption, advanced cooling systems, durability and reliability.

The two new trucks, HD465-7 and HD605-7 offer better productivity, improved operator comfort and serviceability for the rock and quarry industry. The rigid-frame trucks are equipped with air-to-air after-cooled diesel engines that provide a maximum net output of 533 kW. Oil change intervals have been extended to 500 hours for the engine and 4,000 hours for hydraulics, a savings in operating costs. The trucks also come with Komatsus optional Vehicle Health Monitoring System (VHMS).

The PC228USLC-3 short tail swing excavator also has a Tier 3 low-emissions engine. It is equipped with Komatsus exclusive Equipment Management Monitoring System (EMMS) to continually monitor all critical systems so that small problems can be addressed before they become big problems.

The WA430-6 wheel loader has superior rim pull, hill climbing performance and exceptional operator comfort as well as a Tier 3 low-emissions engine. Like the new trucks, this loader is more fuel efficient and more productive than older models. Reliability is ensured thanks to easy maintenance. It is equipped with the latest Komtrax technology which sends machine operating information to a secure website using wireless technology.
