NORTHWEST TERRITORIES – Significant washouts caused by heavy precipitation and rapid snow melt on the Nahanni Range Road has North American Tungsten of Vancouver planning to temporarily reduce or even curtail operations at the CanTung mine. The mine is located 310 km northeast of Watson Lake, YT, just inside the Northwest Territories boundary.

The Nahanni Range Road is the only ground transportation link to the mine. It is used to transport employees, fuel, supplies and critical materials for the CanTung mine.

North American Tungsten is working with the Yukon government and numerous private contractors to repair the road as quickly as possible, but repairs may take up to two weeks.

Updates will be posted at NATungsten.com.
