SASKATOON - With 40 years of custom equipment to its credit, DynaIndustrial is raising its profile in the mining industry. The company recently completed the design and prototype for a custom roof bolter at the request of Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan's Rocanville mine.

Called the DynaBolter, the new low-profile, diesel-powered machine was built over the last 18 months to the expanding mine's specific underground requirements. It will improvement the safety and efficiency of bolting by eliminating the need for a worker to manually install roof bolts. Instead, a single operator can drill and install up to five bolts without leaving the operator's seat. And it boasts on-screen tutorials on the hydraulic control panel to make training and operating simple. It can be integrated onto existing equipment that are already in use in a mine.

DynaIndustrial using the latest 3-D modeling software and finite element analysis software to optimize design while keeping in mind manufacturing, maintenance and safety. Four different models are at various stages of development as the company continues to work with other potash mines. Agrium and Mosaic have already purchased DynaBolters for their mines.
