SASKATCHEWAN – The final assays from the winter drill program at the R zone at Patterson Lake South uranium project follow the trend of revealing high grade mineralization. Owner Fission Uranium of Kelowna, BC, says that 78 of the 80 holes intersected mineralization >0.05% U3O8.

Five holes drilled in the eastern part of R780E zone had particularly high grades. Here are the three best:

  • PLS14-215: 48.5 metres at 6.29% U3O8, including 22.5 metres at 11.80%.
  • PLS14-209: 57.0 metres at 5.19% U3O8, including 10.5 metres at @ 21.97%.
  • PLS14-214: 94.5 metres at 2.28% U3O8, including 5.5 metres at 7.02%; 3.0 metres at 16.75%; 1.5 metres at 8.15%; and 3.5 metres @ 7.87%.

The exceptional grades were encountered between 85.5 and 152.5 metres.

Fission has traced uranium mineralization at PLS by core drilling over 2.24 km of east-west strike length in five separate mineralized zones. Mineralization remains open along strike in both directions.
