SOUTH AFRICA – SXR URANIUM ONE of Toronto has begun commissioning its Dominion uranium project a full three months ahead of schedule. Electrical facilities were energized on Aug. 11, and as of Sept. 19, the boiler and remaining plant equipment (thickeners, autoclaves, etc) are being installed.

The Dominion project is a brownfields redevelopment formerly owned by ANGLO AMERICAN. The crushing circuit was commissioned earlier this year, and it will be integrated soon into the uranium circuit. Gold is being recovered from Bonanza South ore in the plant’s CIL circuit on a batch basis. Uranium production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of next year.

Details are available at www.Uranium1.com.
