SASKATCHEWAN – UEX Corporation (49%) of Vancouver and partner Areva Resources Canada (51% and operator) of Saskatoon have the results from two concurrent drill programs conducted this year on the Shea Creek uranium project. The project includes the Kianna, Anne, Colette and 58B deposits and is located 700 km north-northwest of Saskatoon.

Property scale exploration tested the Saskatoon Lake East Conductor about 1.0 km east of the Anne and Kianna deposits. The Saskatoon Lake Conductor south of the Anne deposit was also drilled. The $2.6 million cost of the program was pro-rated by the partners. UEX, however, supplied all of the $2.0 million cost of supplemental drilling at the Kianna North and Kianna East areas.

Results from Kianna North included 0.33% eU3O8 over 9.4 metres in the unconformity and 0.80% eU3O8 over 31.5 metres including 4.05% over 4.1 metres in the basement rocks.

At the Kianna East target, the Upper Kianna East zone returned 0.73% 3U3O8 over 1.9 metres and 0.99% eU3O8 over 5.3 metres including 3.21% over 1.5 meters, all in the basement formation. In the basement rocks of the Kianna East zone, 0.48% eU3O8 over 3.0 metres was intersected.
