UTILITY VEHICLE: Cat offers its first rugged, configurable UTV

Cat’s new, hardworking, configurable UTV.

PEORIA, Ill. – Caterpillar now offers a line of Cat utility vehicles designed for the rugged landscape of exploration and mining. The new UTVs offer the superior quality customers expect from Caterpillar, including rugged durability, comfortable operation and simple maintenance. On top of that, these vehicles come backed by unmatched support and service from the Cat dealer network.

The UTVs are available in gas or diesel powered models with seating for two or five people. All models have a  payload capacity of 680 kg and a towing capacity of about 450 kg.

The list of optional accessories for the exterior of the UTV is generous. The vehicle can be ordered with or without hard shell doors, a rubber cargo box mat, ProductLink software, a grill guard, a brush guard, and front arm guards. There are also four windshield options, three lighting options, two rear windshield options, two roof options, three safety options, two tire options, a front winch, and a heater/defrost kit. Diesel powered models can be ordered with a block heater.

There are also options for the interior of the vehicle: an overhead console, interior dome light, rear-view mirror and under seat storage.
