HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL of Phoenix, Ariz., and METSO AUTOMATION of Helsinki, Finland, have joined forces in a move designed to give their customers more choices in valve solutions. Specifically Metso's NELES PRODUCT GROUP has joined Honeywell's PKS Advantage program. The program is a collaborative effort that integrates automation suppliers' products with Honeywell's Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS).
Customers in process industries will benefit from the collaboration. Honeywell and Metso will work together to integrate the Neles ND9000 control-valve positioner with Honeywell's Experion system and asset effectiveness solutions. Additionally, the companies will collaborate to offer integrated partial valve stroke testing solutions for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) through the combination of Neles ValvGuard safety valve positioners and Honeywell's Fail Safe Controller and Safety Manager.
