OTTAWA, Ontario A new web site provided by EXPLOTECH ENGINEERING provides immediate access to seismographic event information easily and conveniently. It automates the collection of blast and vibration information from seismographs in the field, and clients can access the data anytime from anywhere.

The Blast Vibrations monitoring system was developed in response to increased demand for immediate and automated access to vibration data. It uses the Internet to simplify monitoring and reporting and allows secure and reliable access to data. The system operates with INSTANTEL'S Blastmate III and Minimate Plus line of monitors to provide a direct remote link between operator and seismograph. When a monitor records an event, the Blast Vibrations system automatically uploads the recorded data to the Internet where it can be viewed on the password-protected Blast Vibrations website. The system also has the capability to automatically forward event data directly to personal e-mail accounts.

"Gone are the days of waiting for your results or tracking down data from field personnel," says Explotech's Rob Cyr. "Vibration monitoring and reporting is now as simple as logging onto the Internet and getting the data directlyfast, simple and automatic."

The new web site is at www.BlastVibrations.com or access it from www.explotech.com.
