TORONTO – Women Who Rock, a social club for women in mining, is holding its inaugural fundraising event, offering the opportunity to bid on face time with some of the industry's top CEOs. Proceeds will be donated to the Alma Foundation that aims to improve the quality of early childhood education available to children in Latin America.
Women Who Rock launched itself in May this year with a Wines & Mines networking event. That was followed by Summer Heat in July. Now the organization is inviting both men and women to join the organizers on Oct. 28, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm in the Museum Room at the Shangri-La Hotel (188 University Ave., Toronto). Tickets are $30 each and include tapas and a drink.
Be advised: although everyone is welcome to attend, only women will be allowed to bid on the prizes.
