GUATEMALA – Edmonton-based FIRESTONE VENTURES has reported exceptional zinc grades from its Torlon Hill project near Huehuetenango. Hole TH06-14 hit 46.7 metres of 12.5%Zn including 24.0 metres of 17.9% Zn. Hole TH06-13 intersected 51.8 metres of 10.2% Zn including 15.5 metres of 15.8% Zn. And Hole TH06-12 returned 24.4 metres of 5.0% Zn including 6.1 metres of 11.7% Zn.
Firestone has completed the current 22-hole, near-surface program. All holes except one were drilled vertically through mineralized dolostone breccia, and intersected serpentine basement rock. A map showing drill-hole locations is available at www.FirestoneVentures.com.
Firestone has an option to purchase 100% interest in the Torlon Hill property. The company has also acquired the surrounding Orbita exploration claims.
