BRITISH COLUMBIA - The Gibraltar copper mine near Williams Lake has made its first shipment of copper concentrate since reopening in October 2004. Approximately 8,000 tonnes of concentrate containing 4.3 million lb of payable copper were loaded at the Vancouver Wharves facility for shipment to a smelter in Asia.

Gibraltar is a joint venture of a TASEKO MINES subsidiary and LEDCOR MINING, the operator. The mill is producing 10,000 tonnes of copper concentrate per month as planned. Upgrades to the molybdenum circuit should be complete at the end of January 2005, adding 78,000 lb of moly concentrate monthly to the operation.
