TANZANIA The Tulawaka gold mine produced 38,143 oz of gold in the three months ended June 30, 2005, its first full quarter of operation. During the first half of the year the plant processed 155,223 tonnes of ore averaging 8.19 g/t Au. Average gold recovery was 96.11%.
The current production forecast for the mine in 2005 is 110,000 oz of gold.
The Tulawaka project is a joint-venture between MDN Northern Mining (30%) and PANGEA GOLDFIELDS (70%), the project operator and a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of BARRICK GOLD. Details of the project may be found at www.Xnord.com
