MINE MANAGEMENT – Gemcom installs InSite at African mine

GUINEA - Vancouver's GEMCOM SOFTWARE has completed the first phase of installation for its InSite mine production management system at CREW GOLD's SMD Lero gold mine in the West African nation.

Crew is expanding annual mine production to 20.0 million bcm from 3.5 million bcm, and annual mill throughput will jump to 6.0 million t from 1.0 million t. Gemcom says its mine reporting and data management system will help ensure that the project achieves the desired productivity gains.
