BRITISH COLUMBIA - The most recent drilling from the bottom of the Wight pit at the Mount Polley mine returned 1.12% CuEq over more than 400 m. The mine, near Williams Lake, belongs to IMPERIAL METALS of Vancouver. The company noted the actual figures were 0.80% Cu, 0.39 g/t Au and 5.72 g/t Ag over 409.1 m. Included in that intersection was a 10.0-m interval that tested 2.30% Cu, 2.28 g/t Au and 26.00 g/t Ag plus a 45.0-m interval of 1.53% Cu, 0.70 g/t Au and 10.21 g/t Ag.

A new zone has also been drilled 500 m north of the Wight pit. One hole returned a 101.6-m intersection that assayed 0.42% Cu, 0.13 g/t Au and 4.62 g/t Ag. The intercept is hosted in a hydrothermal breccia and is capped by 90.2 m of Jurassic volcanics that have been mapped on surface.

Imperial is busy at other projects, too. It has two diamond drills working at the Red Chris copper project, acquired along with bcMETALS earlier this year. Red Chris is located 18 km southeast of Iskut, B.C. The company also added that the access ramp at the Sterling gold property in Nevada has reached 666.0 m of its planned 1,000-m length.
