Canadian agg producer buys prime distribution site in U. S.

Canadian Mining Journal Staff | October 1, 2008 | 12:00 am

Polaris Minerals Corp, (TSX:PLS) and its subsidiary company, Eagle Rock Aggregates Inc, in conjunction with its Strategic Alliance partner, has just completed the purchase of a parcel of land at Pier B in the Port of Long Beach, CA.

Polaris now plans to start building one of the larger marine aggregate receiving and distribution terminals in the United States. Polaris is already delivering product to four aggregate receiving terminals on the San Francisco waterfront and the new terminal will help the company ramp up for the delivery of a portion of the 15.5 billion tons of aggregate that will be needed in California over the next 50 years.
