Michel Aubertin is the new President of the Canadian Geotechnical Society, Canada’s foremost professional organization for engineers and geoscientists dedicated to the advancement of geotechnical knowledge and research. Dr. Aubertin is a Professor in the Department of Civil, Geological, and Mining Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique, Montreal.

Paul Chawrun has been appointed Director of Technical Services for Detour Gold Corporation (TSX:DGC) of Toronto. Mr. Chawrun is a Mining Engineer who will be joining the company’s mine development team for the Detour Lake gold project in northeastern Ontario.
