ZINC RESOURCE: Initial estimate for Long Lake Main zone reaches 70 million lb

NEWFOUNDLAND – Messina Minerals of Vancouver says the initial resource estimate for the Long Lake Main zone contains 70 million lb of zinc. There are also an estimated 14 million lb of lead and 8.7 million lb of copper. The report was prepared by SRK Consulting (Canada).

Specifically, the indicated resource is 407,000 tonnes averaging 7.82% Zn, 1.58% Pb, 0.97% Cu plus silver and gold credits. The zinc equivalent grade is 12.41%. The inferred portion totals 78,000 tonnes at 5.77% Zn, 1.24% Pb and 0.70% Cu or 9.15% ZnEq.

The Long Lake Main zone is part of the company’s Glitter project area 40 km southwest of Buchans. The Boomerang, Domino, Hurricane and Tulks East B zones are also contained in the project.
