GOLD-SILVER: Continental’s Buritica project granted environmental permit

COLOMBIA – Toronto based Continental Gold has received the environmental permit for its Buritica expansion project in Antioquia. The permit was issued by the Colombian National Authority of Environmental Licences. The permit allows Continental Gold to expand the current small scale, 30-t/d Buritica operation to full mining and milling at a rate of 3,200 t/d. The company is also allowed to mine alluvial material for construction and operations. Best practice protocols during mine operation and closure are required. Continental prepared a feasibility study earlier this year putting proven and probable reserve at 13.72 million tonnes grading 8.4 g/t Au and 24.3 g/t Ag. Resources include 12.89 million measured and indicated tonnes grading 11.4 g/t AuEq and 15.6 million tonnes at 9.5 g/t AuEq.
