AUSTRALIA - LIEBHERR INTERNATIONAL of Germany has signed an exclusive agreement with Australia's IMMERSIVE TECHNOLOGIES for development of training simulators for the Liebherr line of hydraulic excavators and shovels. The two companies signed a similar deal in 2005 involving simulators for large haul trucks.
The first Liebherr mining excavator represented in a simulator is Liebherr's flagship model, the R996. Other models will follow soon as the market demands simulation products for enhanced operator training on mining machines.
