DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by RBC\, the Mining for Diversity Cocktail and Awards 2018 will be held March 6th\, 2018 from 4:30 to 6:30pm at the PDAC Convention in Toronto at the MTCC\, North Building\, hall 105-106. \nThis event celebrates diversity and inclusion. Join women and men from the mining industry and our lead sponsor\, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC)\, for networking\, appetizers and cocktails. \nAwards will be presented to individuals who have been instrumental in enabling the increase of a diverse workforce and an inclusive workplace within the mining industry. These include the Trailblazer awards (woman and student)\, the Rick Hutson Memorial award for mentoring\, and introducing two new Trailblazer Indigenous awards (woman and student). \nWomen in Mining Canada\, International Women in Mining and Metisphere Australia will celebrate the launch of the first “International Women in Resources Mentorship Program” at the reception and will welcome their international mentees and mentor participants. \nThis event is oordinated by WIM Canada in partnership with the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada\, and with the help and support of International Women in Mining\, Women who Rock\, Covergalls\, the Mining Industry Human Resources Council\, WIM Toronto and Coralis Canada. \nACCESS IS FREE.
