The industry’s vision “Towards Zero Waste Mining (TZWM)” is focusing innovation activities across the nation to guarantee the competitive and sustainable survival of a vital component of Canada’s economy. \nAlthough not widely appreciated\, the Canadian mining industry is highly technical and provides opportunities for collaboration among other critical sectors such as information technology\, automation\, and biotechnology. This forum will examine how other industries and countries moved the innovation needle significantly and explore in depth the opportunity with TZWM as an innovation strategy.
