SUMMARY:Resources For Future Generations (RFG) 2018 Conference
DESCRIPTION:Resources for Future Generations 2018 (RFG2018) is an innovative international conference dedicated to the availability of resources needed to sustain future generations. RFG2018 will provide participants with a program that will explore six vital themes: Energy\, Minerals\, the Earth Water\, Communities & Society and Education – and the interdependencies between them. \nLed by the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS)\, RFG2018 will be hosted by Canadian partners – the Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences (CFES)\, the Canadian Institute of Mining\, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM)\, the Geological Association of Canada (GAC)\, and the Mineralogical Association of Canada (MAC). An additional 40+ world organizations have joined the initiative as Technical Partners. \nThis joint venture is estimated to attract 4\,000+ researchers\, policy makers\, scientists and industry representatives. Grounded in fundamental earth science\, the conference will serve as a forum for participants to discuss activities as well as the key issues and trends in these closely inter-related areas. These topics are central to the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. \nThe technical program knowledge will be shared and exchanged over four full days in 24 parallel rooms\, 200+ sessions and 2\,000 presentations. Daily Plenaries\, keynote addresses and daily public talks will mobilize thousands at a time. An exhibition of 100 select exhibitors and hundreds of technical posters will be at the center of the networking and business exchange. \nvisit www.rfg2018.org or contact info@rfg2018.org for all the information or to register.

SUMMARY:HYi-202 Design Considerations for Industrial Hydraulics (formerly DCH)
DESCRIPTION:This 5-day training course is a must for plant personnel tasked with hydraulic system improvement or with the development of initial design concepts for a new hydraulic application. Students receive the tools they need to properly evaluate the load to be moved and controlled and to select appropriate hydraulic valves for this purpose. Classroom lecture and discussion will be balanced with various system component selection and sizing problems. Note: Students are required to bring calculators to this training course. \nPrerequisites:\nStudents will gain admittance to this seminar oNLY after their successful completion of the Bosch Rexroth HYi-101 (POH) Seminar. Students must have the ability to manipulate and transpose various hydraulic related algebraic equations.
