SUMMARY:HYi-202 Design Considerations for Industrial Hydraulics (formerly DCH)
DESCRIPTION:This 5-day training course is a must for plant personnel tasked with hydraulic system improvement or with the development of initial design concepts for a new hydraulic application. Students receive the tools they need to properly evaluate the load to be moved and controlled and to select appropriate hydraulic valves for this purpose. Classroom lecture and discussion will be balanced with various system component selection and sizing problems. Note: Students are required to bring calculators to this training course.

SUMMARY:International Conference on High Performance Mining
DESCRIPTION:The Institute for Advanced Mining Technologies (AMT) at RWTH University\, Germany\, presents an International Conference on High Performance Mining\, featuring international keynotes and best practice case studies from international mining operations. \nThe objective of the conference is to provide a platform for international mining companies\, equipment manufacturers and experts from industry & research to meet and discuss current challenges as well as best practices for high performance in underground and open pit mining. Keynote speakers from McKinsey & Company\, AMC Consultants\, and Stratalis Group provide answers to important questions such as: Why has productivity in mining been declining for the past decades? What does high performance mean in international comparison? Which priorities do mining companies have to improve their productivity? Six sessions will discuss important levers for productivity improvements\, presented by international mining operations\, technology providers and research centres. Mining suppliers will be able to learn about priorities of mining companies and which technologies and areas in the operation they are focusing on. The conference language is English. There are opportunities to exhibit. Various sponsorship packages are available.
