SUMMARY:CIM Mine Operators and Maintenance Engineers
DESCRIPTION:Sudbury will host the global mining industry for the Maintenance Engineering and Reliability/Mine Operators (MeMO) Conference Sept. 18-21 at Science North. The theme this year is Perseverance in a New World and the three-day program seeks to explore the current challenges in mining operations\, maintenance\, engineering and reliability and share insights on how mining is adapting to change and improving through the use of cutting-edge new technologies and innovation. \nThis operators’ conference is renowned as a leading venue to make important contacts and learn from colleague’s own field experience. Maintenance engineers and mine operators will come together\, fostering greater synchronicity between two key professions to ensure smooth operation. \nMeMO 2022 is organized by the Surface Mining Society\, the Underground Mining Society and the Maintenance\, Engineering and Reliability Society of the CIM\, along with a volunteer committee and members of the CIM Sudbury branch.

SUMMARY:Maden-Tek 2022 – Mining Industry Technology Days
DESCRIPTION:“Technology of the Future Meets with Turkish Mining Industry” \nWhy is Advanced Technology Important? \nNowadays\, increased energy costs\, decreased availability of high-grade ore. and shrinking profit margins made integration of the advanced technology in mining operations obligatory and this necessity has revealed that mining companies need to be smarter\, safer and faster to adapt to the change. \nGiving its name even to the ages\, mining has been developing since the day humans existed. Recently in the mining sector concepts such as Industry 4.0\, Smart Mining\, Digital Technologies\, Advanced Analytics\, Internet of Things (IoT)\, Data Analytics\, Process Optimization started to be discussed and used in different scales both in the world and in our country. \nMain trends in the global mining industry. \nConstantly decreasing average grade rate\,\nNecessity to operate the mine with lower grade\, large deposits\,\nIncreased number of underground mines\nIncreased necessity of working harsh environments in occupational health and safety aspects\nIncreased environmental sustainability standards\,\nLacking qualified persons in industry\,\nDecreased CAPEX efficiency and OPEX.\nAs a result\, digital solutions and advanced technologies are developed for providing support to increasing needs in the industry such as; \nOrganization and process optimization\,\nStandardization\,\nIncreased ore recovery\,\nProductivity and safety\,\nOperational excellence expectation\,\nEquipment automation and system management due to data analysis\nRemote operation of the globally known mining operations\,\nModular design with open automation\,\nIncreased focus to environmental safety etc.\nBenefits of Using Advanced Technology in Mining:: \nThe Digital journey\, along with all of the above for operations\, also provide; long-term benefits\, innovative ideas\, the competence of the institution and staff\, lower costs\, better quality production\, increased productivity\, increased competitiveness. While transforming all businesses with unprecedented speed\, digitalization both offers important opportunities and brings some problems and difficulties. The solutions are only possible using advanced analytics and the Internet of Things. Usage of the technology make it possible to achieve concrete and long-term effective results at world standards. \nWhat is the purpose of the Mining-Tech 2022? \nAiming to bring\, highly discussed topics in global mining industry such as advanced technology and industry 4.0 and all software and technology products related with mining to agenda of our country\, First and only Mining and Earth sciences Magazine in Turkey\, “Madencilik Türkiye Magazine” will hold Mining – Tech 2022 – Mining Industry Technology Days on 20 – 21 September 2022 at Meyra Palace Hotel in Ankara. \nMining- Tech 2022 aims to cooperate in activities that promote technology transfer and innovation\, to introduce innovative perspective and activities of companies from abroad\, while seeking benefit from mutual information exchange\, and determining the factors that will enable strategic cooperation in the mining industry. The event will be attended by companies that produce technology and services\, domestic organizations that use technology intensively and representatives from foreign mining industry and mining professionals. \nParticipant Profile: \nThe companies and users related with; digital solutions and data analytics\, Internet of Things (IoT)\, optimization\, management\, exploration (drilling\, geophysics\, analysis\, etc.)\, modeling\, measurement\, imaging and communication technologies\, environment and OHS\, production\, logistics\, infrastructure\, advanced technologies on machinery\, equipment and ore enrichment and so on… \nIn addition\, public institutions\, universities\, techno cities\, non-governmental organizations operating in the field of mining and technology will be the partners of this event. \n————— \nContact: Mayeb Basın Yayın Ltd.
