Construction continues at Ontario gold mine

Work is well underway at Northgate Minerals’ Young-Davidson gold mine as crews prepare for a busy winter of surface and underground construction at the Matachewan, ON, site. An estimated $375 million will be spent on the mine over the next two years and between 275 and 300 people, many from the Matachewan First Nation, will be at the mine.
