High-lift wheel loader

Caterpillar’s 992K high-lift wheel loader is a machine capable of lifting loads up to 21 tons to a height of 24 ft 9 in.

The design of the machine’s fabricated, single boom incorporates castings in high-stress areas for longer life and the loader’s high-lift system features Positive Flow Control (PFC) hydraulics with sensors at the pumps that provide enhanced responsiveness that the operator can feel and use.

As for maintenance, the 992K features exclusive sleeve bearing pins to eliminate the need for daily greasing of the front linkage and a modular radiator has copper fins for improved heat exchange capabilities. The design minimizes space requirements and enhances sight lines to the rear.

Centralized service centres and ground-level access points including the bumper service centre and optional fluid service centre also ease maintenance and help reduce the risk of falls.

For additional safety, a trainer seat is standard equipment and an optional rearview camera increases the view behind the machine as do optional, heated rearview mirrors.
