Show and tell and so much more

Canadian Mining Journal Staff | September 1, 2010 | 12:00 am

As the exploration season comes to a close for many juniors, some companies working in the Yukon Territory were so excited about what they’ve discovered over the past few months that more than a dozen of them came in from the field for a day last month to set up displays at the “Dawson Rocks” show and mini conference in Dawson City. Core boxes and site maps filled the hall as company representatives exchanged stories and proudly displayed some of the fruits of their labour. The event, organized by the Yukon Geological Survey, also included a technical seminar and a gala dinner in the evening. More than 100 attended the BBQ dinner prepared by the Dawson City Fire Department.
