Side-dump buckets improve productivity

The buckets reduce mucking time by at least 25% compared with conventional front-dump buckets. The reduced mucking cycle time helps cut machine and tire wear and their resultant costs, while longevity is also much improved with loading and dumping from different parts of the bucket. The mucking cycle reduction arises because the loader needs only to move forward to the muck pile, load the bucket, reverse straight back alongside the truck, and tip. A conventional loader with a front dump bucket configuration typically moves forward to the muck pile, loads, reverses and turns 90, moves forward again to the truck to tip, reverses back and then moves forward again back to the muck pile–a far longer cycle.
