Underground truck available in Canada

Often unseen but always respected is the best way to describe many of the machines that work underground in today’s mines and that’s why Atlas Copco is so pleased to announce that its new Minetruck MT6020 underground truck has surfaced and is now available in Canada.

The 60-tonne capacity truck is an articulated vehicle with an ergonomically designed cab featuring MSHA-ISO, ROPS and FOPS certification. The cab is air conditioned, has tilt steering, wide windows and a back-up camera and monitor for improved safety. Sound is minimized to 83 dba in the cab.

Handling has been improved with a front-axle suspension and an electronic transmission and engine control system for smoother and more precise shifting. The truck has a turning radius of 42.5 degrees while tramming at its 60,000 kg capacity. The box dumps in just 15 seconds.
