Wheel Loader

Canadian Mining Journal Staff | September 1, 2008 | 12:00 am

John Deere’s new 844J wheel loader is a machine designed for the heavy going in almost any mining situation. Equipped with a

7 cu yd bucket and powered by a 12.5 L (380 hp) Deere engine, the new 844J offers operators a safer machine with a lower centre of gravity and an optimized fore-and-aft weight ratio for stability. The machine weighs 68,320 lbs and its powertrain and hydraulics combine for quick ground speeds and boom lift, even on steep slopes. www.deere.com
