Compass Wire Cloth acquires Sefar screening division in Georgia

Compass Wire Cloth has completed its acquisition of Sefar Corporation's screening division in Gray, Georgia, expanding the company's manufacturing reach into the Southeast United States.

The North American separation and screening tech manufacturer closed the transaction March 31, 2026, and now operates the Round Ring Screen business along with the Georgia facility and its workforce.

The Gray operation adds specialized pre-tension manufacturing capabilities to complement Compass Wire Cloth's existing New Jersey production. Company officials expect the Southeast presence to cut response times, lower shipping costs and meet growing demand from vibratory separator customers, regional distributors and OEM partners.

Compass Wire Cloth will continue managing all orders, customer service and coordination through its New Jersey headquarters to maintain consistent nationwide communication and service. The company expects no interruption to existing orders during the transition from Sefar.

The Georgia facility will manufacture round pretension screens and related screening solutions for Southeast manufacturing operations under the Compass Wire Cloth brand. Product quality, specifications and service levels remain unchanged.
