Epiroc AB has agreed to acquire Eventspec Proprietary Limited, a Johannesburg‑based South African provider of aftermarket technologies for the mining sector, the companies announced.

Eventspec manufactures parts for drill rigs, mine trucks and loaders and delivers rebuilds, repairs and related services. The firm employs about 120 people, has operated for more than two decades and reported 2025 revenue of roughly MZAR 280 (MSEK 160). Its customer base consists mainly of South African mining companies.

“This acquisition will be a strong and strategic addition to our manufacturing capabilities and expand our product portfolio of spare parts and related services in the growing and important African region and beyond,” Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s president and CEO, said. “We look forward to welcoming the capable team at Eventspec to the Epiroc Group.”

Epiroc said the deal is subject to customary regulatory filings and is expected to close in the early part of the third quarter of 2026. The transaction will become part of Epiroc’s Equipment & Service Business Area and will be recorded under the Service revenue stream. The company added the acquisition is not subject to a disclosure obligation under the EU Market Abuse Regulation.
