Ian Ball has been named the new president of Abitibi Royalties of Val d'Or, QC. Most recently he was president of McEwen Mining. Abitibi Royalties holds a 2% net smelter royalty on a portion of the Canadian Malartic mine known as the Gouldie deposit.

Canadian Platinum Corp. of Calgary has named Gary Billingsley its president and CEO and Mason Douglas its chairman.
