announces that the Mining Information Group will be headed up by Robert King, a senior executive with extensive tech leadership and experience.
The Mining Information Group provides miners, explorers, executives, prospectors, developers and investors with essential information and insights needed to make effective business choices. Robert will direct The Northern Miner Group, which includes The Northern Miner, Canadian Mining Journal and Mines Handbook and InfoMine which includes such brands as MINING.com, IntelligenceMine, CostMine, CareerMine and EduMine. Many of these brands have been the industry’s most trusted news source for over 100 years while InfoMine has become a world leader in providing mining knowledge, via websites, rich mining intelligence databases, cost estimating publications, on-line learning courses, careers, conferences, webcasts and more.

Robert brings vast marketing and general management experience to Glacier Media. He previously worked at Intuit where he was General Manager of the Canadian Small Business Division. He led customer innovation for QuickBooks, a financial management SaaS platform that helps small business thrive. He championed start-ups and small businesses seeing that financial literacy was vital to their growth and Canada's future prosperity.
Before coming to Intuit, Robert was the Channel Leader at Microsoft where he oversaw channel strategy and led Microsoft's successful transition to the cloud.
Creating an early connection to the mining industry, Robert spent the first seven years of his career at Suncor Energy. Robert has relocated from Toronto to Vancouver for the role with his wife and 10-year-old son.
