BRITISH COLUMBIA – HILLSBOROUGH RESOURCES of Vancouver has decided not to participate in the 2007 operation or budget of the PEACE RIVER COAL LIMITED PARTNERSHIP.

The Peace River program originally involved ANGLO AMERICAN (60%), NEMI NORTHERN ENERGY & MINING (20%) and Hillsborough (20%). The remaining partners are expected to provide the necessary $53.0 million this year to continue the program.

Additional information on the many exploration projects and coal mines that Hillsborough operates is posted at www.HillsboroughResources.com.
