LABRADOR From the manufacturer, RAJANT CORPORATION of Malvern, Pennsylvania, comes word that IRON ORE COMPANY OF CANADA (IOC) has chosen its BreadCrumb system for mine-wide wireless communications. The new system will be the primary communications platform at the mining operations near Labrador City.

Rajant says the BreadCrumb wireless mesh network will enable IOC to run multiple mining applications such as dispatch and maintenance monitoring of capital equipment. The network will be comprised of both fixed, stationary systems and a large number of mobile wireless systems all simultaneously connected. IOC plans to spread the network over loaders, trucks, shovels, pumps, other production equipment and laptops, giving them the ability to communicate in real time.

Rajant has noted that its BreadCrumb system needs no "root node", central access point or LAN controller. This eliminates extra network latency and single points of failure. Learn what other worldwide users already know at www.Rajant.com.
