An earlier version of "Viewpoint: IamGold to swallow larger Cambior" published online on September 20 mistakenly stated that "Cambior executives, with the exception of president/CEO Louis Gignac (who will be retained to provide advisory services), are not being offered management positions at the new IamGold."
IamGold's VP corporate affairs Larry Phillips called our office to object, saying this statement is false. He said that IamGold is making every possible effort to retain all Cambior employees, meeting with groups of employees this week to tell them so.
