LUPIN, Nunavut The Nunavut Impact Review Board has given the thumbs up to the environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Jericho diamond project. Owner TAHERA CORP. believes that open pit development and full production could be achieved in 2005.

Jericho will be a small diamond producer, employing between 105 and 175 people for its eight-year life. For the first three years, production will come from the pit, and for a further two years from underground. Processing will continue for another two years using stockpiled ore. Diamonds will be recovered using dense media separation.

Tahera is posting job and contract opportunities on its web site (www.tahera.com) as they become available.
