MANITOBA INCO LTD. is contributing $1.5 million to the Regional Community Centre project in Thompson, Man. The gift was announced by chairman and CEO Scott Hand during special celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Thompson orebody discovery and the founding of the community.
"For fifty years, our company and this community have shared the common goal of making Thompson a great place to live," Hand said. "Our contribution to the Thompson Community Centre project is one way to help ensure that Thompson continues to be a community of choice for our future employees and others who work for a wide array of growing businesses and institutions in the city."
