PELTOSALMI, FINLAND - NORMET CORPORATION has used its more than 40 years of experience in the mining industry to create the Charmec 9825 BE for automated charging of emulsion explosives. The concept is suitable for both short and longhole charging. It is fully programmable, but several pre-programmed features are built in to ease the operator's work.
The system consists of a Normet NC 98 mining carrier, emulsion module and boom lifter suitable for reaching backs as high as eight metres. The emulsion module has both pumping and sensitizing systems. Safety systems, storage facilities for emulsion components and water are integrated into the system. Automatic charging hose feeder and hose, as well as an automated CAN-Bus control system make the Charmec 9825 BE suitable for charging up to 80 kg/min.
