ONTARIO - ARMISTICE RESOURCES of Toronto has begun dewatering the underground workings at the McGarry gold project, adjacent to the former Kerr Addison gold mine in Virginiatown.

The McGarry mine has a three-compartment, 700-m shaft with a 32-m steel headframe. The 3-m double-drum hoist is capable of operating to depths of 1,280 m, says Armistice. The company built a processing plant in the late 1990s, and has recently refurbished it.

Based on earlier underground diamond drilling, Armistice estimates the "drill indicated resource" to be 392,000 t grading 8.57 g/t Au to a depth of 800 m. A property map and cross-section are posted at www.Armistice.ca.
