QUEBEC - Partners BRITANNICA RESOURCES and NORTHERN STAR MINING, both of Vancouver, have announced the discovery of a new gold deposit in the Abitibi Belt. Their find was made on the Revillard property about 10 km northwest of Malartic.

Britannica did a small initial stripping and trenching program in an anomalous zone revealed by magnetic and induced polarization surveys. The program revealed an intensely altered and sheared zone consisting of chloritic, ankeritic and silicate alteration and enrichment exhibiting both stockwork and boudinage structures, over a minimum width of 30 metres, Britannica said. The stripping was carried out only where bedrock was easily accessible; therefore the zone remains open in all directions. Within the shear zone, pyrite, chalcopyrite and fine free gold were identified.

The samples taken returned assays of 17.60 g/t, 11.63 g/t, 3.33 g/t and 4.065 g/t Au.

Further details of the project will be available at the Northern Star website, www.NSMGold.com.
