OTTAWA - EVERTON RESOURCES is getting a $1.5-million boost from mining entrepreneur Rob McEwen of Toronto. He has agreed to purchase 3.0 million units (one share and one share purchase warrant) at a price of $0.50/unit. Everton says it will use the proceeds for exploration at its Opinaca and Wild Cat gold projects in the James Bay region of Quebec and projects in the Dominican Republic.

Everton holds one of the largest land positions in the James Bay area and many of its properties are adjacent and to on strike with VIRGINIA's gold discovery where GOLDCORP recently agreed to purchase the Eleonore gold deposit. Everton also holds a large land position adjacent to the multi-million-ounce gold deposit Pueblo Viejo which BARRICK GOLD and Goldcorp plan to develop by investing over a billion dollars.

The company's website is at www.EvertonResources.com.
