BRITISH COLUMBIA – Vancouver-area readers might want to take advantage of the invitation to join the annual general meeting of the BRITANNIA BEACH HISTORICAL SOCIETY. The society has done a commendable job of restoring the original concentrator building on Howe Sound and is actively promoting its use as an educational and historical destination.
The meeting will take place on April 19 in the machine shop of the BC MUSEUM OF MINING beginning at 3:30 pm local time. Arrive early to enjoy socializing with light refreshments before the meeting as well as a tour, opportunity to meet the staff and invited guests and a silent auction to raise funds for the societys education services.
