CALGARY – Petro-Canada Lubricants has earned a Silver Stevie Award from the 13th Annual International Business Awards (IBA) for the company’s latest product innovation, Hydrex XV. The hydraulic fluid, reformulated and relaunched this year, is proven to drive operational efficiency and productivity while minimizing environmental impact through reduced fuel and energy consumption.
Hydrex XV was selected for the honour based on its impressive results, including field tests demonstrating up to 5% fuel savings in mobile equipment and up to a 6% increase in productivity.

Attracting nearly 4,000 nominations annually, the IBAs were developed to honour the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide. The IBAs’ Stevie Awards judging panel consists of more than 200 of the world’s most revered executives, entrepreneurs, innovators and business educators.
This year, judges on the panel for Industrial Products and Services agreed that Hydrex XV is “very impressive in its function, features, benefits and performance to date.”
Petro-Canada Lubricants is no stranger to the Stevie Awards. As a long standing participant in this awards program, Petro-Canada Lubricants has earned a total of five awards across a range of lubricants and greases, all selected for their achievements in solving leading industry challenges.
This year’s winning hydraulic fluid, Hydrex XV, is designed for use in heavy duty hydraulic systems, and is part of the complete Hydrex hydraulic fluid line. Hydrex XV is used in various industries including mining, construction, forestry and mills, drilling and waste management.
