VANCOUVER, British Columbia GEMCOM SOFTWARE INTERNATIONAL has released its GEMS 5.2 software. This version, which is a direct reflection of client-based feedback, offers an enhanced set of technical tools for mine planning and production processes.
Specific enhancements to GEMS 5.2 include an improved graphical user interface (GUI) for the Volumetrics application, along with an upgrade to time-saving Wizards in the Go Scheduler application. GEMS 5.2 also includes Point Upgrade, the first segment of a multi-phase project to upgrade the system's Kriging capabilities. This upgrade provides a solid foundation for subsequent phases, which are scheduled to include additional Kriging parameters and multi-element support.
Other features available in GEMS 5.2 include new production scheduler enhancements to the PC-BC block caving application, as well as greater security and support for geostatistical databases.
