MINING PEOPLE: Beaufield, Cap-Ex Iron Ore, Guyana Goldfields, Skyharbour, Stellar AfricaGold, and Superior Copper

Beaufield Resources of Montreal has named Jens E. Hansen its new president and CEO. He had held those posts in the interim since March 2013. Hansen is also president of Geotest with whom Beaufield has entered into a formal consulting agreement.

The CEO of Vancouver’s Cap-Ex Iron Ore is Graham Harris, one of the founding directors of the company. Brett Matich has been reappointed president following the resignation of former president and CEO Francois Laurin, who remains on the board.

Guyana Goldfields of Toronto has named Scott Caldwell its new president and CEO. Former CEO Patrick Sheridan, Jr., will become executive chairman.

Jordan Trimble has been appointed a director and agreed to serve as president and CEO of Vancouver-based Skyharbour Resources. He has worked in the resource industry in various roles with numerous TSX Venture listed companies specializing in corporate finance and strategy, shareholder communications, marketing, deal structuring and capital raising. Trimble is a graduate of the University of British Columbia.

Headquartered in Montreal, Stellar AfricaGold announced the appointment of J. Francois Lalonde as COO of the company. A civil engineer, he brings to the job many years of experience in West Africa.

Superior Copper Corp. of Toronto says Paul Millar, who has been with the company since its inception, will become chairman and interim CEO. Brian Howlett will assume the responsibilities of president as well as his current role as CFO. Former president and CEO Judy Baker has resigned from the company.
